GIVES FOOD FOR THOUGHT! My honest opinion related to the future of our dogs. To ensure progression in quality of the German Shepherd, judges (also Körmeisters) and helpers are obliged: to test the dog at the SchH.1 level for real hardness and serious drives. Mere clicker or prey drive protection (only for points) is poisonous for the future of the German Shepherd and his working ability! Look what happened with the 99% of the SHOWLINE-DOGS! What we need are serious dogs with natural drives (no fake with clicker etc) and social aggression in the bloodline: but also handlers who have the knowledge to work with this type of dogs. They must also teach the young handlers who want to learn how to work with this dogs because the future lies with the young. Also in breeding. I try to realize this kind of dog in my TIEKERHOOK breeding. "Make sure my shepherd dog remains a working dog, for I have struggled all my life for that aim." Captain
